Results Of Halftime Sale: Thank You To All Affiliates!

February 5th, 2008

Last night’s Halftime Sale was a huge success!

In about 35 total minutes of the sale, affiliates helped 258 people get all 12 of the internet marketing lessons for just $10! Another 10% of those decided to take me up on my special offer for a discounted ticket to the 2008 Success Workshop II – You And Squidoo: Mastering Web 2.0 that starts this Friday.

All told, the Halftime Sale had a Gross Revenue of $5005 before Paypal fees. Affiliates earned about 1/3 of that and will be paid on February 15.

When I was teaching high school history, working 60 hours per week, I made about $3400 in a month after taxes, and all that. After working hard all week, and getting help from so many affiliates, the Halftime Sale brought in the same amount of money in 34 minutes. Still blows my mind!

I tell you this to say what an impact internet marketing has had on my life, and why I am so passionate to help you succeed as well. This sale took a lot of creativity, hard work, and time to develop the products that I included. If you have the same kind of drive to succeed, and you are patient with your results, but persistent with your goals – you will find the journey much more rewarding.

As for the affiliates themselves, I’d like to recognize everyone who helped share the Halftime Sale.

I did not have a contest, but I did keep track.

The top 5 affiliates were:

  1. Tim Brocklehurst (the king of viral marketing didn’t promote until the final 24 hours and came out on top!)
  2. Matthew Glanfield
  3. Todd Gross
  4. Chris Morris
  5. Larry Dotson (not sure of your website, Larry – sorry!)

Of the 938 members who registered for the site, 524 came from affiliates. Of those, 313 came from these top 5 members (60%).

The following is a list of all the other affiliates who shared the Halftime Sale with at least one other person successfully, in alphabetical order by first name:

  • Ajamu Kafele

Now, you may be wondering what’s next.

First, my next “planned” sale like this one is set for November 4, 2008. Obviously, that’s a ways away, but I’ve had the date picked out since mid-2006.

A bit closer on the calendar is the second 2008 Success Workshop, which begins on Friday of this week. It’s a 4-day virtual workshop (February 8, 9, 15, 16) all about Squidoo and Web 2.0. You are invited to join us at 2008SuccessWorkshop.com.

Of course, Halftime Sale 2009 will be in February of next year.

That’s all for now. Make sure you keep up with what else is going on at AskBobTheTeacher.com, or inside our tribe on Ning.

Have a great week!

Bob Jenkins

p.s. Special thanks also to Anita Johnson for helping me with the support tickets that came in last night and this morning. That was a huge help!

The Big Game Kickoff – Let The Excitement Begin

February 3rd, 2008

A few moments ago, Championship XLII began. Your chance to win the Halftime Championship offer has now ended.

Let me tell you quickly what happens next.

As the game progresses, you’ll see the score updated here, and inside the members area.

At the end of the second quarter, the total score will be added up for both teams, and that’s the price of the Championship offer.

If you have already registered for your VIP Access Pass, you will want to login a few minutes before the half. Inside the members area, if the screen doesn’t automatically go to the Championship Offer page, you’ll see a nice big link that says – CLICK HERE FOR THE HALFTIME CHAMPIONSHIP OFFER

You can read all about what you are getting, or if you know enough already, you can click the order button when you’re ready.

In addition to the 7 products I have already told you about, you will see 5 more internet marketing lessons! That’s how much I want you to succeed in 2008.

You will be able to pay through Paypal, use a credit card (MC, Visa, Amex, Discover, without opening a Paypal account), or e-check.

There is a chance that if you pay by e-check, that your downloads won’t be available immediately because of Paypal’s clearing process for e-checks.

No matter what, though, you will have until at least the end of February to download everything from your order. So there is no rush to do anything else tonight.

I have received some emails asking me if I will have an additional special offer available tonight. Although I can’t say what it is, I can tell you that yes, indeed, I will share a way for me to help you even more. In fact, I will already be telling you about this in a few more days. But tonight, you get a lot more than you will later this week. So it’s definitely to your advantage to check it out carefully before the start of the third quarter.

Of course, you can’t simply decline my invitation for the Championship MVP offer if you want and simply enjoy the regular set of 12 internet marketing lessons.

Now, as for paying you if you referred people to this sale.

Because I really detest personally using any type of $7 script, where each affiliate is paid directly, you will be paid commissions on February 15 (to allow for any refund requests, and to make sure all e-checks have cleared, etc.). The reason I don’t like those other scripts is because if I used it, everyone who bought from your link would come to you for tech support because YOUR email and websites are listed on their Paypal receipts.

So to keep the confusion low, the record keeping intact, and everyone happy in general, commissions come out on February 15.

However, you will receive an email tonight every time a sale is made, with the exact amount you are getting (which is the total price minus Paypal fees – usually about 2% of the price). You can also see your total earnings inside the Referral Program inside the site.

That’s it for now. I need to get back to watching this game and seeing if anybody else has scored!

See you at Halftime!

Bob Jenkins

p.s. Thanks again for being a part of this sale. This has been a lot of fun to meet so many new people and take a creative idea through to a finished launch. In case you are wondering, I relied heavily on two resources for carrying out this event: Product Launch Formula and Butterfly Marketing. I also used Instant Teleseminar to hold and record all the teleseminars connected to the Halftime Sale.

p.p.s. Got a comment about the game or this sale before the Half? Add it below…

Halftime Sale Products Revealed Plus Free Teleseminar On Podcasting

January 30th, 2008

Would you like to get a sneak peek of what is inside the Halftime Sale, so you know if you should bother to be near a computer on Sunday?

You can now see what 2 of the 7 products I will be offering are.

These are two content-packed teleseminars, that I delivered live in late December as part of my Solstice Sale preview week.

Until now, the recordings have not been available except to an exclusive group of people.

I must tell you that you will learn a lot from these two calls.  In fact it’s over 3 hours of content.

But out of the 7 products you’ll see in the Halftime Sale, they are small potatoes compared to what else you will pick up (more about the other lessons later in the week).

===================================
REMINDER: Free Teleseminar Tonight
===================================

Also, in case you missed it, I am holding a teleseminar tonight with Scott Paton about Podcasting – and you get in free.

In case you don’t know, podcasting is where you record an audio or video and make it available for other people to listen to on the internet.

Many podcasts are like a series, and it’s a great way to become known as an expert very very quickly.

Whether you already knew that, or you still have no idea what podcasting can do for you, be sure to be on our call tonight at 7 p.m. EST.

It’s free for everyone who has their free VIP Access Pass to the Halftime Sale. (Remember you can bring guests through your referral link!)

I have created a study guide for the call as well, which you will find inside the members area.

Halftime Sale Members Area

Hope to see you there!

Bob Jenkins

p.s. Tomorrow, I’ll reveal two more products of the Halftime Sale and announce a way for you to win the entire Halftime Sale package.

For now, enjoy the free teleseminar tonight and the sneak peek of the first two products…

Got Plans For The Half Time Show?

January 23rd, 2008

Do you have plans for the “big game”? You know, the one between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants?

I hope you won’t be too far from your computer, because you are invited to join me for what could possibly be the shortest sale in the history of internet.

From the final whistle of the first half, to the kickoff for the third quarter, I’m hosting a special Half Time Sale.

Have I lost my mind? Perhaps!

But I figure most half time shows are pretty boring. And no offense to Tom Petty, but you’re not the most exciting performer in the world. Sure, we don’t have to worry about any “indecent” exposure. But still, they could certainly do better.

So skip out on your friends for a few minutes during the half-time show, and come back to HalfTimeSale.com. For those 28 minutes or so, you will have a chance to pick up some great stuff from me for really cheap.

How cheap? I’ll save that news for the next message.

But for now, help me out by posting below what you would like to get from me as part of the sale. Like usual, I’ll be using your feedback to make a final determination of what to include.

See you soon,

Bob Jenkins

p.s. There will be a very lucrative affiliate program for this sale, too. I’ll be getting you an affiliate link about a week before the Big Game!
