How Tonight’s Halftime Sale Will Work

February 1st, 2009

With Halftime Sale XLIII just a short time away, you may have questions about how it all will work with so many people trying to grab my Championship Learning Library at the end of the first half.

So let me answer the biggest questions now so you know exactly what you’ll need to do to take advantage of this incredible offer.

When will the Halftime Sale start?
At the end of the second quarter, and it will end at kickoff of the second half. Since the game kickoff is about 6:30, halftime should start around 8.

What’s included in the Halftime Sale Championship Offer?
You can get the full listing at HalftimeSale.com. But basically, I’ve taken the very best module from each of several online marketing courses I’ve personally created. So you’ll learn from Teleseminar Formula, Squidoo Secrets, Discover Social Networking, Discover Product Creation, Discover Autoresponders, and IM Success Radio. The offer also includes free live coaching from me during February, as all Halftime Sale buyers receive access to the IM Success Tribe mastermind for the next 4 weeks. You’ll also get unpublished material, like Discover Blog Talk Radio (created last Wednesday), a 2 hour Q&A call recording, Live Event Secrets, and more. The full details are in the Halftime Sale members area.

That’s about $435 worth of lessons – What will I be paying for it all?
The price is determined by the score at half. Throughout the first and second quarter, I will update the score and the price. Once the second quarter ends, the “Add To Cart” button will appear inside the site. A typical halftime score is 14-10, so the price would be $24.

What if the score is 0-0?
If the Cardinals and Steelers can’t score in the first 30 minutes of play, then you get the Halftime Sale package (including the live coaching during February in my IM Success Tribe) for free. Your account will be upgraded.

What if the site crashes?
With all the excitement on Twitter, Facebook, and around the net, there’s a possibility of the site going down – especially right at the start of halftime. Please realize that you have a full 33 minutes or so to make your purchase, so you don’t have to stand there refreshing the screen over and over again at the end of the first half. If the site does go down for a short time, I will extend the sale for as many minutes as we are offline to be fair.

When will I get paid my 75% commissions?
All payments are processed by me through my Shylar’s Quest, LLC Paypal account, and accounted for through the Butterfly Marketing software. To be sure duplicate orders are corrected, and to give time for e-checks to clear, etc., all commissions earned by affiliates will be paid out on or before February 15. Be sure to include your Paypal address in your account profile (get a Paypal account here – they are free).

Are the lessons downloadable or streaming?
You get to download all the lessons in the Championship package to your computer. Most of them are in .zip files, so you’ll need to download and extract the files. A few of the audio files include streaming versions as well. Since you can download them, there is no time limit on when you learn from all the lessons.

How long do I have to download everything?
You’ll have until the end of the month to download all the products inside the members area. This will give you plenty of time to get them. Which means once you complete your purchase the Halftime Sale XLIII championship offer, you can go back and watch the rest of the game.

Is there an “upsell” after buying the Championship Library?
I am a student of Mike Filsaime and many others, so I will have a special “MVP” offer for those that pick up the Halftime Sale package. I can’t tell you much else about it, except that it’s spectacular, and completely optional.

Will I get some sneaky charge on my account a month from now?
No. Halftime Sale XLIII is a one time payment (unless it’s free), and there is no forced continuity. You get free live coaching in my monthly IM Success Tribe during February. If you wish to continue in March, you’ll need to set up a new payment at the end of February.

How did you come up with such a genius idea?
Over the last 3 years, I’ve paid attention to creative marketing ideas. Last year, I decided to do something no one else had ever done online. It was a great success and a big hit with everyone involved, so we’re doing it again! Halftime Sale is now an annual event.

How do I order the Halftime Sale Championship offer?
I suggest you take these steps to make sure you don’t miss out.

  1. At the 2-minute warning, login to HalftimeSale.com (create an account now if you haven’t already)
  2. Look for the big button: Halftime Sale XLIII Championship Library and click it
  3. At the end of the first half, refresh the screen. Remember – there’s no need to refresh the screen over and over again BEFORE the halftime starts. You will have a full 33 minutes or so to order.
  4. Click the Add To Cart button on the sale page when it appears.
  5. Complete your payment through Paypal with your Paypal account. If you prefer to use a credit card, use Discover, Amex, Visa, or Mastercard through Paypal’s order form. If you want to use an e-check, you can use that, too.
  6. Click “Return to Merchant” to go back to the Halftime Sale members area.
  7. If you’d like to see the Halftime Sale MVP offer, be sure to look for the new link in the menu. The MVP offer is only available during Halftime for the 67% off price.
  8. You have a full month to download your products. So feel free to enjoy the rest of the Big Game!

If you have other questions about the event, please post them below in a comment, and I will answer them as best I can.

I’m still a little bit confused. Are you sure you don’t mean 7 in the first quote? 06:30 + 30 minutes = 07:00.

Hi Oscar – the teams play for 15 minutes each quarter in “game time” but that really translates into about 45 minutes to an hour for each quarter because of TV timeouts, clock stops, etc. It’s not like soccer where the clock keeps running.

So 8 p.m. EST is when I’d be ready.

I got an e-mail about being able to guess the half time score for a 100% discount, but I can’t find my way to the place where I enter my guess. Can you direct me as to where to go?

    Hi Bob,

the game is over now, and so is the sale, and I have got to tell you:
    What a brilliant marketing strategy.

And I’m not even talking about the butterfly thing…

But the way the offer itself was structured — to basically demonstrate the high quality of your offerings while leaving people eager to get their hands on the rest of the products.

I’m sure your upsell did really well too. And I anticipate that you’ll sell a whole lot more of the individual full products over time as people listen to their “lessons.”

oh, and what inspiration too to create multiple products that come in somewhat self-contained modules ;-) That are related enough to work well as a package…

Thank you so much for the great stuff and the inspiration!

    Elisabeth
